Official voting turnout in Ta' Xbiex in the 2005 Local Council elections was of 69%, which is higher than the national average of 66.7% (though less than the last elections 3 years ago). No Exit Polls were held in Ta' Xbiex.

MLP kept its majority in Ta' Xbiex with Antoinette Vassallo being confirmed as the Mayoress of the locality - she obtained a considerable number of votes in the first count. [Pullout:
Ta' Xbiex Emblem or Coat of Arms] The Council was formed by 3 MLP Councillors ( Antoinette Vassallo, Aaron Farrugia, Frank Roe) and 2 PN Councillors (Anthony Cachia Castelletti and Mark Vassallo).
There were 1483 registered voters, of whom 1016 were cast. 13 were invalid votes and 1003 were valid. The quota was 168 votes. 467 people did not vote this time compared to the 379 of three years ago.
